I Want To Be Program continues
Another milestone in the development of our "I Want To Be" Program took place in March. With the expert guidance of Kofi Essien our Master Teacher, Sunney Quicoe, program co-ordinator, Harry Appiah, assistant teacher and Loes Witschge To Be Worldwide volunteer and "I Want To Be" Program expert, we were able to test another module of the program.
One of the most appealing parts of the program is that children actually get to visit a company in their community. A visit comprises of a tour of the company and the opportunity to ask questions. The "Company Visit" module not only consists of the actual visit and asking questions, but also preparing a presentation about the company you visited for other students to learn from.
We were grateful for the cooperation of Supermaritime, a Dutch/Ghanaian company working in the Takoradi Harbour. They welcomed the children to their offices.
