Meet Akpene Darko Cobbina

Akpene reflects on how discussions with others at the To Be library often focused on the characters from books they read. He explains that these characters—whether fictional or non-fictional—were seen as heroes and role models during his upbringing. Akpene recalls being inspired by such figures, mentioning Captain Nemo as an example of someone who ventured to unexplored places. As a child, he viewed all characters as real and aspired to be like them, regardless of whether they came from fiction or reality.

Akpene Darko-Cobbina became the youngest person in the history of Ghana to graduate from the country's school of Law.
